The 73rd Amendment Act is a revolutionary step towards establishment of grass-root democracy in the country. It is a bold step to strengthen rural people in economic, political and administrative fields through decentralization of authority and power. Despite making Panchayati-Raj a constitutional body and implementation of a large number of development schemes, this has not achieved much needed success in rural development. Hence, there is a need to make rural people in Bihar more aware on the Panchayati- Raj system. On 14.04.2017, an awareness camp was organized in Mohanpur village in Silao block. A total of 85 men and women now become more familiar about different govt. schemes and programs implemented at the Panchayat level.
